BOARD OF TRUSTEES MERRICK PUBLIC LIBRARY, BANISTER MEMORIAL HALL Monday, March 13, 2017 Call meeting to order ATTENDANCE: Sally Brown (SB) , Barbara Clancy (BC) , Barbara Steadman (BLS), Jerry Rudzinski (JR) No, Matt Bansfield (MB), Carol Plumb (CP) , Brenda Metterville (B) . Quorum needed 4 Trustees. Review, edit minutes from, Monday, February 13, 2017. Motion by Ratify Library payroll FY17 warrant dated February 9, February 23, and March 8, 2017. Motion by Ratify Library Expense FY17 warrant dated February 28, 2017. Motion by Ratify Library Book FY17 warrant dated February 15, and February 28, 2017. Motion by Matt re-imbursement invoice? For door and vapor barrier, paper? Brenda forwarded Section IV to Matt for edits. Carol has submitted a letter of recommendation for the Historical Commission, Anne Gobi will have a letter by tonight and the Board of Selectmen signed the grant. The Massachusetts Preservation Projects fund application (Round 23) is due March 24, 2017. The Important Dates — Round 23: Application deadline: March 24, 2017 Award selection: June 14, 2017 Mandatory Awardees LPC Workshop: July 12, 2017 Project end date: June 30, 2018 We meet on the 13th of March a Monday, and the Board of Selectmen sign on March 7, 2017. Brian Turcotte has an interest in participating on this project and was here Friday, March3 and Monday, March 6 to review and present a scope of work by Friday, March 10. Brenda requested an update from the Sandy, Treasurer of the library’s trust account, and has this information available. The Brownies leaders have requested permission for their 13 Brownies to have a sleepover in the library. Kate is involved and would be pleased to be the staff member to supervise this overnight of fun. We are having a dinner to thank Michelle for her 5 years here, at 308 Lakeside, Wednesday, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. We are all donating $5 each to purchase a gift card for 308 for Michelle’s gift.
