ANNOUNCEMENTS:
	The Regional Highway Equipment Co-Operative: of which Brookfield is the lead town, was presented with the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission 2013 Regional Services Award in recognition of outstanding leadership in regional services through an innovative prudent collaboration amongst municipal departments of public works in the towns of Brookfield, Brimfield, Brookfield, East Brookfield, Hardwick, Warren and West Brookfield at CMRPC’s 50th Anniversary Dinner last Thursday night.
	Quaboag Choral Society: presents 80 years of musical theatre with selections from Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, West Side Story and more on Thursday, June 27 at 7 p.m. at the Brookfield Congregational Church. Free Admission.
	Brookfield Farmer’s Markets: will be held each Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Town Common. Come support your local farmers who offer fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat, wool, honey, hay and more. 
	Brookfield Concerts on the Common: are here again on Friday evenings in July, beginning with Dave Pike and the Good Ol’ Boys Friday, July 5 at 6:30 p.m. The baking competition and pre-show begin at 6 p.m. This week’s baking contest is Patriotic desserts (red, white & blue.) In the event of rain, the festivities will be cancelled.
	Clowning for Kidz Foundation Annual Poker Run and Family Fun Day Saturday, Aug. 18 at St. Stan’s Polish Club, 144 South St. in West Warren. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. with coffee. Poker run is $20 per person; $200 for first place $100 for second and $50 for third. To get tickets in advance, contact Scot Mansfield at 413-896-2404.
	Brookfield Ecumenical Food Pantry: is always looking for your help in the form of cash or donations.  Please contact either Louise Woodard at 508-867-3891 or Pauline Walker at 508-867-2281 to help your neighbors.  The Food Pantry is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 9:30 to 11 am.
