It is a comprehensive assessment of the multimodal movement of people and goods within Worcester and the surrounding communities that form the urban core of Central Massachusetts. The study has identified strategies to improve mobility for vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, transit, and freight by enhancing the existing infrastructure and planning for new infrastructure. This is the final public meeting to present draft recommendations and get public feedback before concluding the study. The study area includes Worcester and portions of the surrounding towns that lie within the urban core (Holden, Paxton, Leicester, Auburn, Oxford, Millbury, Grafton, Shrewsbury, Boylston, and West Boylston). This area encompasses the major roadway and public transportation systems in, through, and around the central urban area.
