Executive

•	Workforce Training Fund established as a trust 
•	Strategy Report Card reviewed
•	Need to establish a working group to revise and update strategic goals for FY13 & beyond
•	Need to continue to address diversity on the Board
•	Workforce System Updates: consolidation on hold, WIA reauthorization on hold & WIA funding very uncertain

Strategy Committee: Developed a series of activities members can engage in to support the workforce system as challenges need to be addressed.

Grants updates:

Community College USDOL Grant 20 million MWCC’s role: Jackie Feldman

Healthcare: Ended June 30. 2011 80% completed still working on Job placements

Energy: HVAC with Solar 6 completed training, 16 currently enrolled 
             BPI Building Analyst training I: 10 enrolled, 9 completed, 7 certified
             BPI Building Analyst training II:  9 enrolled, 7 completed, 7 certified

STEM: Ends January 2012, Extremely successful project.

Career Center: Job Fair November 9, 2011: Paulette Carroll 

New Board members: Mark Wigler, DUA Field Operations Manager & 
Sally Boutin, Director People and Organizational Development Health Alliance Hospital

Board Vacancies: Three openings for Private sector Business representatives.
