TOWN OF STURBRIDGE
FY 2013 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Sturbridge Board of Selectmen will discuss its proposed FY 2013 regional Community Development Fund application to the Massachusetts Department of Housing & Community Development’s Community Development Block Grant Program. The town of Sturbridge will be serving as the lead community in a joint application with the town of Brookfield. The meeting will be held on Monday, January, 14, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in Veteran’s Memorial Hall, Town Hall, 308 Main Street.
The hearing is being held to discuss the proposed regional Sturbridge-Brookfield FY 2013 Community Development Fund II application for up to $900,000 to assist in the funding of a package treatment facility at the Sturbridge Retirement Cooperative Corporation (SRCC); to fund engineering plans for infrastructure improvements to Draper, High, Hayden and Hyde Streets in Brookfield; and housing rehabilitation for residents of the SRCC and town of Brookfield.
Any persons or organization having questions or comments concerning the application will have an opportunity to be heard. The Town of Sturbridge, through its Board of Selectmen, will be responsible for grant administration. The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission will assist the Sturbridge Board of Selectmen and oversee the implementation of the program.
