The Financial Report was submitted to the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) on October 9, 2013 (deadline was October 11). This is the second and last report to MBLC on approving the certification of the library and to assign our state aid amount.
The Friends of the Library had a successful Book Sale during the Apple Country Fair (Oct. 12) and they added a new fundraiser the Apple Pie Surprise. The Friends also donated to the Luminary Fund for Christmas Eve.
Dave Cole and Norman began the installation of the corbels to the exterior of the building. It was noted that on the north side of the building a section of the soffit is rotted and will have to be rebuilt. There is what appears to be a three inch round hole close to the rotted corbel still on the building. This repair was not included in the estimate. Dave will give us an estimate on the repair, we may have to get two more estimates. (Photos or walkabout).
Capital Planning with Brian White to be scheduled soon. It is time to update our plan from 2011 and 2012. This plan needs to be edited to include the reduced funds we have received from the budget FY13 and FY14.
