Shellfish Advisory Committee
Agenda for the Shellfish Advisory Committee meeting to be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013 in the club room at the Chatham Community Center at 4:10 PM:
1. Review minutes.
2. Forum. If anyone from the shellfishing community wishes to make any comments or request a future agenda item they may do so now.
3. Brief remarks from the chairman.
4. Capri Lane Association, LLC, pier proposal discussion.
The ZBA and Conservation Commission request a letter of recommendation from the committee.
5. Razor clam regulation proposal.
There are currently no regulations for harvesting razor clams. Concerns were brought to the Shellfish Advisory Committee at the January 14, 2013 meeting over harvest methods and practices. Resulting regulation proposals will be examined.
6. Discussion on the inclusion of additional shellfish species in the local regulations.
7. Eider deterrent update.
8. Any other issues that committee members may want to discuss briefly may do so here; however, no vote may be taken on these issues at this time. Any issues to be voted on must be published in a future meeting agenda and posted for public assay prior to that SAC meeting.
9. Set next meeting date.
10. Adjourn.
