Raffle and monetary donations are being accepted for a benefit at the Ye Olde Tavern on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013 for the family of a young mother who recently and unexpectedly passed away. It’s Apple Country Fair time! Brookfield’s biggest community-grown event is back for its 35th year on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Brookfield Town Common. The fair features the work of 70 local crafters, food, raffles, non-profit booths, children’s activities and the annual apple pie contest. The fair is a fundraiser for local programs.
