Special Meeting of the Board of Selectmen

10:30 am to 12:30 pm
Matters/Decisions relating to the Quaboag River Bridge Construction Project:

Chris Buelow, Assistant Restoration Ecologist with MA Dept. of Fish and Game’s (MA DFG) Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program (NHESP), will provide an overview of the habitat and wetland restoration project that MassDOT will be proposing as mitigation for impacts resulting from the Quaboag River bridge replacement project.
 
After the presentation, MassDOT Environmental staff and MA DFG staff will answer any questions Town representatives may have and discuss the Town’s role(s) moving forward.
 
Recently, MassDOT has agreed to include a level graded viewing area on the NW quadrant of the bridge.  MassDOT staff will solicit input and recommendations from Ron Couture to bring back to the design consultant.  Coordination and refinement of elements to include into the final design will occur after this meeting.

1:00 pm Public Tax Classification Hering - Assessors
Purpose: to determine the residential factor for the Town to be used in setting the tax rate for Fiscal Year 2013.
