This is a joint meeting between the Trustees and the Brookfield Historical Commission at the Merrick Public Library.
Agenda for joint meeting is what information in a cover letter to present to the Capital Improvement Planning Committee (CIPC) regarding the purchase of 18 Common Street.
A cover letter has been drafted for both groups perusal and editing. Any other discussion?
Don Faugno proposed the question of what is procedure in town, what is the role of the BHC, letter from BHC to support this purchase of the sole advocate, BHC how to make the argument to support this. How do we support this effort? Carol Plumb made the motion to BHC to support the Board of Trustees in the effort to purchase 18 Common Street it is vital to the growth of our cultural resources in the town of Brookfield, 2nd Lois, BHC is all in favor. Ratify an BOT meeting on November 12.

The Brookfield Historical Commission voted and approved partnering with the Board of Trustees. The Trustees motion is to partner with the Brookfield Historical Commission on the purchase of 18 Common Street and creating a secure museum, meeting and historic research center with program space.

Ratify Library payroll FY19 warrant dated October 18 and November 1, 2018.
Ratify Library Expense FY19 warrants dated October 24, 2018.
Ratify Library Book FY19 warrants dated October 24, November 5, 2018
Motion by voted in favor to ratify.
Donations recently received by the Friends of the Library for the library expansion, $5000, $150.
Arthur, our custodian has given his notice and will be done at the end of November 2018. We have given a job application to the town hall custodian who has expressed an interest in the position.
We have hired a new Library Assistant for our Saturday position, Joann Pierce, she is a retired Librarian, MLS. Holly will remain on the Saturday rotation.
