| Agenda: | Chatham Selectmen invite you to a Virtual COVID-19 Community Forum
As we await word on when the Governor will lift the State’s COVID-19 stay-at-home advisory and closure order for non-essential businesses, the Chatham Board of Selectmen is already wrestling with a number of significant decisions heading into the summer season. In the coming weeks, we will need to figure out how, when – or if – various events we host here in Chatham should be postponed, re-scheduled or cancelled. We also need to determine how to best “re-open for business” more broadly when the time comes.
But before we, as a Board, make any decisions, we want to hear from you!
To facilitate that we are hosting a virtual town-wide community forum via the Zoom video conference platform that seeks input from residents, businesses and the non-profit community on how to best balance public health and vital economic concerns.
The Board of Selectmen will not be deliberating during the forum. Instead, we intend to listen and gather as much feedback as possible to help us decide what will work best for our community.
Participants, who will be given a maximum of three minutes to speak, will be asked to offer thoughts, ideas and suggestions in response to the following questions:
How do we handle large public gatherings?
How can we establish a consistent set of town-wide guidelines for safety?
How do businesses and non-profits operate effectively and safely?
How do we ensure there is a clear understanding and enforcement of the established guidelines?
What else do we need to consider?
