(1) The Barre Planning Board will hold a public hearing requested by Catherine Trifilo to see if the Town will vote to amend its Zoning Bylaw, a.k.a. Chapter 140 of the Town Code, by adding to Section 11.1, entitled “Temporary moratorium on recreation marijuana establishments”, a new subsection D. @ 7 p.m.
(2) The Barre Planning Board will hold a public hearing to amend the Code of the Town of Barre, Zoning, Chapter 140 by inserting a new section 140-11.7 Temporary Moratorium on Marijuana Retailer, Delivery – Only within the Town of Barre as described in the State of Massachusetts draft regulations December 21, 2017 935 CMR 500.000 Adult Use of Marijuana. The moratorium shall be in effect through December 31, 2019 or until such time as the Town adopts Zoning Bylaw amendments that regulate Marijuana Retailer, Delivery, whichever occurs earlier. During the moratorium period, the Town shall undertake a planning process to address the potential impacts of Marijuana Retailer, Delivery in Town, and to consider the Cannabis Control Commission regulations regarding such and shall consider adopting new Zoning Bylaws in response to these issues
