Articles for the Special Town Meeting, Building Maintenance $7400 and Operating $1000 to comply with MBLC, Mass Law formula. There is still no date for the Special Town Meeting scheduled. Free cash for 2016 is certified but not yet for 2017.
We have a draft of the narrative for the Capital Improvement Planning Committee for the library needs from FY18 to FY24. The narrative includes the purchase of the adjacent property and buildings.
Brenda has a draft of the 2017 Annual Report for review and edits. The Annual report has a list of our accounts for review.
Since the budget for FY18 is not complete, apparently we are not working on FY19 budgets yet.
Building: The new copper downspout on the Gargoyle has been installed, Phil Chaffee is going to give us an estimate for heater coil to be installed.
From Glenn: Arthur to get paint on the items he installed, now. Any day in the 40's or better would be more than warm enough, I know. Paint cans usually say 50 or warmer but a Benjamin Moore representative speaking to a painter friend of mine said anything over freezing is good -- if you can brush it on, it's warm enough.
There's only one molding to paint on the ramp door. The new, unpainted, plywood basement door cover hides the rest of the unpainted items. They can probably wait until springtime unless he's unusually ambitious.
Meeting Representatives from the Collins Center (hired by the Town to restructure its Step and Grade) will be holding orientations for employees at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 13th in the Banquet Room of the Town Hall.
The Collins Center will be working with the Town to conduct a classification and compensation study, which will evaluate approximately 40 Town positions.
It is important that employees attend one of these meetings. Department Heads, please pass this along to each of your employees. Again, your attendance at one of the orientation sessions is important.
Any other business?
Next meeting is Monday, March 5 or 26, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. (Brenda will be in Ireland for Monday, March 12 and returns late/early Monday, March 19) |
