 Opportunity to plan for open space preservation and recreational opportunities.
 Update 2010 plan, revise goals and objectives, action plan, involve the community in this process
(through survey and forum).
 Allows the town to apply for LAND and PARC grants from DCS.
 Town has to do ADA self-evaluation.

3. Project Team Roles and Responsibilities
CMRPC –
 Prepare the plan, including obtaining all relevant data, as well as the survey, and presentation and
handouts for the forum.
 Analyze and summarize input from the survey and forum, and incorporate the feedback and input
from the committee in the development of the goals, objectives, and action plan.

TOWN –
 ADA self-evaluation.
o OSRP requirements include completion of Section 504 Americans with Disability Act (ADA)
Self-Evaluation for all conservation and recreation facilities owned or operated by the
municipality as well.

 Put together committee that meets 3-7 times, and provides feedback on the draft plan.
 Provide photographs and assist with compiling inventory of open space parcels, as well as
providing any other information we may need (historic sites, growth and development, etc.)
 Acquire Planning Board, Board of Selectmen and other letters of endorsement, as appropriate;
 Organize and promote participation in the community forum; and
 Promote survey participation
