ANNOUNCEMENTS
Volunteers are needed to serve on several Town Committees including: The Advisory Committee; Local Public Access Committee; Conservation Commission. A letter of interest should be submitted to: Board of Selectmen; 6 Central Street; Brookfield, MA 01506 or email selectmen@brookfieldma.us

PUMPKINFEST 2016 will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct 22 on the Brookfield Town Common. Please bring your carved pumpkins to be registered between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.  If you child is under age five, they may bring a painted pumpkin. No late entries will be judged and judging begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.
Winners will be announced at 7 p.m. Live music by Doolin’ Lads from 6 to 7 pm.; Cider and donuts will be available.  Pumpkinfest tee shirts will be for sale.  For more information, contact Jeanne Lytle at 508-867-6705.
New this Year:  Scarecrow Contest!: Entries may be individual, family  or group. Prizes for scarecrows will be ribbons only, and will be judged by those attending.  
Tyler Wolanin, district aide to Sen. Anne Gobi, will be holding office hours at Brookfield Town Hall from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., Monday, October 24th 
A message from the Recreation Committee: Trick or Treat and Halloween events will be held Halloween night (Monday, October 31st). Trick or Treat from 6 to 7 p.m., in the Village and Common Area. Meet at Fire Station for parade on the Common - will leave promptly at 7 p.m.  Costume Contest in gazebo upon arrival at the Common. As always, candy donations are being accepted at the library and elementary school in an effort to help those who live in the Trick or Treat area.
