Library Building:
I am gathering estimates for building repairs for Fiscal Year 2015. I have one for the basement waterproofing in three phases. And Crocker Architectural Services have been contacted to address our failed gutter system, included in the roof work—The contract is date May 4, 1998 with Preservation Partnership, Max Ferro. This project was funded by the Massachusetts Historical Commission and the Town of Brookfield. Original Contract amount was $106,500. Net change orders, $22,569, TOTAL $129,069, May 26, 1999. The response from the email I sent on Jan. 8 was “we will look at this week and get back to you on how to repair”. I emailed reminder on Jan. 30 and have received no response.
Fiscal Year Budget 2015 is prepared. We have been encouraged to present a 4% COLA in our payroll budget. Discussion and approval required to be submitted.
Massachusetts Broadband Institute is going live in our building within the next 2 to 3 weeks. Anne Savoie with CW/Mars systems has given us detailed options for us to adopt. This will allow us to remove Charter Communication from our network of computers. It will cost us $500 one-time fee for CW/Mars to install a wireless system, one secure for staff use and another one for patron use. I am meeting with Jenn Grybowski, Administrative Assistant to BOS to discuss the process of this MBI update to town buildings on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 1:00 p.m.

Annual Report for 2013 was submitted and available for perusal.
FY2014 State Aid check received January 16, 2014 for $1950.03

BOS New Policy: CORI policy, 1/22/2014 (which allies itself with Board of Trustees CORI policy from 2007.)
