Shellfish Advisory Committee
Agenda for the Shellfish Advisory Committee meeting to be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 in the club room at the Chatham Community Center at 4:30 PM:
1. Review minutes.
2. Forum. If anyone from the shellfishing community wishes to make any constructive comments or express concerns with the shellfishing industry, habitat, or shellfishing in general, or request a future agenda item, they may do so now. Two minute time limit.
3. Re-opening of the pier proposal at 197 Strong Island Road. The Woods Hole Group will be providing additional information about the pier and their research of shellfish habitat in the area.
4. Continued discussion of the unauthorized alteration of shellfish resource areas adjacent to 36 Sears Point Road by owner David Rogers.
5. Town meeting article to retain for conservation the Ryder’s Cove upland parcel situated north of Orleans Road abutting Ryder’s Cove Road. The uses would be restricted to open space and passive recreation. If passed, the proposed parking lot extension will not be allowed to go forward.
6. CPA funding update.
7. Future agenda items.
8. Set next meeting date.
9. Adjourn.
