1) Continuance of Public Hearing opened Dec 8thth regarding the following “The Town of Orange Planning Board will hold a virtual continuance of the public hearing pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 40A (“the Zoning Act”), Section 5 that was opening on December 8, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of this continuance is to discuss a proposal to potentially extend an area of existing Village Residential / Commercial District (A(c)) into the existing Residential District (C) along Exit 14 and West River Street heading into Town.
The potentially affected parcels are (Assessors Map #-Lot #): Map 108 -Lots 1 through 29, Map 108- Lot 70 , Map 234-Lot 4, Map 235- Lots 1 through 4, Map 235- Lots 11 through 16, Map 239 -Lot 1, Map- 107 Lot 181-westerly portion. This proposal would address some existing zone issues that would leave parcels vacant and unusable under current zoning, and would promote continued development within this area of Town, where it has been deemed most suitable.
Due to COVID 19, and pursuant to Governor Baker's March 12, 2020 Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law, this hearing will be conducted via teleconference. Meeting participation instructions can be found 48 hours prior to the meeting on the meeting agenda posted on the Town of Orange site http://www.mytowngovernment.org/01364 under the Planning Board section. The maps and other materials showing the affected parcels may be reviewed by submitting a request to the Planning Board Office by emailing the office at planning@townoforange.org or by contacting the Community Development Director Alec Wade at awade@townoforange.org.
