Brookfield Seniors are invited to learn about the people and culture of Georgia, formerly part of the USSR in a program entitled Travel to the Land of Fire presented by Tom Clancy on Tuesday, May 13 at 11:30 a.m. at the Congregational Church. Coffee, tea, cider and desserts will be provided. Brookfield Heritage Day will be held Saturday, May 17. An encampment by the Massachusetts 15 Infantry will begin at 9:30 a.m. The day will end with the Preservation Award being presented to Robert W. Wilder and a presentation of the “Hamilton Family of Brookfield” given by Dan Hamilton at the Congregational Church at 5:30 p.m. Coffee and refreshments will be served. Sponsored by the Brookfield Community Club and the Brookfield Cultural Council. Brookfield Ecumenical Food Pantry: is always looking for your help in the form of cash or donations.
