Proposed FY 2016 Community Development Block Grant Application
Public Hearing Notice
The Hardwick Board of Selectmen will conduct a public hearing regarding its proposed FY 2016 Community Development Fund application to the Massachusetts Community Development Block Grant Program. The meeting will be held 6:00pm on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Municipal Office Building, 307 Main Street, Hardwick, MA. Should the meeting be canceled due to inclement weather or for any other reason, the back-up date will be Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the same location.
The grant application will seek funding for activities including; a sewer infrastructure improvement project to the Prospect and Broad Street neighborhood, a professional architectural design plans for an elevator to Hardwick’s Municipal building, and the continuation of funding for Hardwick’s Domestic Violence Services program. Should the Domestic Violence Services Program be awarded, it will be managed by the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission in consultation with a local domestic violence task force.
The public hearing will offer Hardwick residents an opportunity to comment on the proposed projects which were identified as priorities in the town’s Community Development Strategy.
The Hardwick Board of Selectman will be responsible for administration of the Hardwick application, if awarded. The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission will assist the Town of Hardwick.
