Agenda: | Approve minutes of the December 15, 2022 meeting.
Vote to recommend the Pelham Playground Committee’s application for $17,250 to hire the Berkshire Design Group to create a feasibility study to upgrade the playground to ADA standards. The funding will come from the Open Space and Recreation reserves currently at $137,143. If the CPC recommends this appropriation, then this project will also be on the agenda at the February Public Hearing.
Actions for the Cadwell Street Homeownership Project as a followup to our committee’s recommendation that the May 2023 town meeting appropriate the $70,000 request by Habitat for Humanity to purchase two lots on Cadwell Street.
Write a warrant article for this appropriation request that identifies the funding for this project as follows: $14,700 from the Community Housing reserves, $40,200 from the FY2023 Budgeted Reserve, and $15,100 from the Undesignated Fund.
Schedule a public hearing on the application for $70,000 to support Cadwell Street Homeownership by Habitat for Humanity on February 16 at 7 pm. Do a bulk mailing on postcards to notify residents:
Get the mailing list from the Town Administrator, and create the text to go on the postcard.
Bring the mailing list and the draft postcard to Amherst Copy in Hadley.
Ask Amherst Copy to print the cards, bring them to the Post Office with the mailing list and pay the postage. then send the bill to the Town Administrator.
Future agenda items:
Appropriate the next $250,000 for the ABA project at the Fall Town Meeting.
CPC leadership changes: Tom will resign as Chair after the May Town Meeting and ask to take over the duties for committee Treasurer.
Recommendations from the IT Advisory Group to adopt common digital resources for all Pelham town boards, commissions, committees and other municipal tasks.
