Pursuant to Governor Healey’s March 29, 2023 signing of the Acts of 2023 extending certain COVID-19 measures adopted during the State of Emergency suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, § 20 until March 31, 2025 this meeting of the Chatham Historical Commission is being conducted in person and via remote participation.

•Status of Current Demolition Delays –
-322 Bridge Street expires February 15, 2025 – Withdrew from ZBA August 24, 2023
•Request National Register eligibility, from Mass Historic Commission, for the “William and Anne Nickerson homesite, archeological site” – (Nickerson family assoc./conservation foundation sites), to be based on PAL’s revision of scope of work and cost estimates. Efforts can be initiated after completion of Archeological Survey Update. Awaiting direction from Staff to proceed.
•Preliminary review for possible update/expansion of Marconi-RCA National Register District as a result of the updated Archeological Reconnaissance Survey from March 2009. Awaiting direction from Staff to proceed.
•Return of Chatham’s Historic, US Coast Guard Boat House, for the “Adaptive Reuse”, as the ‘Shellfish Upweller”, at 90 Bridge Street.
•Correspondence: None.

•Preliminary review for possible update/expansion of Marconi-RCA National Register District as a result of the updated Archeological Reconnaissance Survey from March 2009.
•Monomoy Theatre Property - 776 Main St, Concepts/Restoration for Washington /Taylor House & Theatre, Final design, “on hold”. Pending Legal Action.
•Review of Chapter 158 bylaw, re: current 75-year threshold for acceptance.

•Administrative Review Process, expansion in future on the determination of Historical Significance.
•Chatham’s Historic US Coast Guard Boathouse, review of the updated Form B, for possible submission to MHC for “Eligibility as a National Register Structure.” |
