Pursuant to Governor Healey’s March 29, 2023 signing of the Acts of 2023 extending certain COVID-19 measures adopted during the State of Emergency suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, § 20 until March 31, 2025 this meeting of the Chatham Historical Commission is being conducted in person and via remote participation.

•Update to 2015 Chatham Survey Plan (Form B) – Work proceeding with Preservation Consultant, Eric Dray.
•Archaeological survey update of Chatham Cemeteries (Form E) – Contract kick off meeting with  Archeological Consultant, Dan Zoto on June 1st.
•William and Anne Nickerson homesite – national register eligibility process, Nickerson family assoc./conservation foundation sites – revision of scope of work and cost estimates, received and review in process. (Can be initiated after completion of Archeological Survey,) 
•Monomoy Theatre Property - 776 Main St, Concepts/Restoration for Washington /Taylor House & Theatre, Final design, “on hold”. Pending Legal Action. 
•Review of Current Historical Commission applications, discussion of changes in process with CCC, Sarah Korjeff, re. >25% change in NRD properties.
•Proposed 2023 - 2024 Preservation Planning Workplan in process – Ryan Christenberry 
•Amendments to Demolition Delay ByLaw to Address Neglect - In Review – Ryan Christenberry

•Status of Current Demolition Delays – 184 Barcliff Avenue expires October 1, 2023 but Applicant has resubmitted to be heard again. 
•Correspondence: None.

Issues on hold 

•Review of Chapter 158 bylaw, re: current 75-year threshold for acceptance.
•Development of Preservation Plan.
•Administrative Review Process, expansion in future on the determination of Historical Significance.
•Preliminary review for possible update of Marconi-RCA National Register District in relation to the Archeological Reconnaissance Survey from March 2009, to be updated.
